What is the SA 8000 : 2014?
SA 8000 : 2014 is the latest version of the SA8000® Standard launched in June 2014. A central improvement to the Standard was the inclusion of Social Fingerprint®. It is a set of tools that helps organizations continuously measure and improve their management system for social performance, helping them fulfill the requirements of the Management System Element of SA8000.

Jute Products Development & Export Promotion Council (JPDEPC), an Industry-led body, was created under the Companies Act of 1956 with the principal purpose of giving added push to the initiatives required for taking export of Jute goods to a sustainable higher level. The council’s management is a 12 member committee including 2 nominees from Govt. of India, nominees advices the council on its program of activities. Currently the council boosts strength of about 250members covering from various segments of Manufacturing and Trading of Jute Products.
